SOFA KABUL

SOFA KABUL IS A CULTURAL PROGRAM BETWEEN SWITZERLAND AND AFGHANISTAN.

Afghanistan is unfortunately known for its last forty years of war. Its culture, which is one of the oldest on Earth, has served political and economic interests of foreign invaders or local factions. Art was often instrumentalised as a pretext for the ends of a speech. However, Afghanistan sees a constant artistic emergence of unique talents. Between 2013 and 2014, FOCUS encourage young Afghan artists for their artistic process, regardless of the political context. Swiss and Afghan influences are promoted through diverse artistic fields. The aim of the program is to create intensive collaborations in which participants develop their ideas and put their knowledge in practice.
